Interlocking Tile is an offline puzzle game. There are no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no servers.
The app does not request internet permission, so it cannot send your information anywhere. Everything you enter stays on your phone.
Only to run the game: to show your profile and rank, remember your progress, create your ranking certificate and fix problems. It is not used for advertising, profiling or sale.
Nothing is shared automatically. If you tap Share on your ranking certificate, Android’s share sheet opens with the certificate image and its verification code. Your email and country appear only if you left them switched on; you can hide them first.
The same applies to the log screen’s Share button. Once you send something to another app or person, that app’s own policy applies.
Your profile photo is chosen with Android’s photo picker, so the app never gets access to the rest of your photos. A square 512 px copy is saved in the app’s private storage. You can remove it any time from My Profile.
The app requests one permission only: vibration (for haptic feedback). It does not request internet, location, contacts, microphone, camera or storage permissions.
The app uses open-source libraries (Android Jetpack and ZXing for drawing QR codes). They run entirely on your device and do not collect data.
Data stays until you clear the app’s storage or uninstall the app (Android Settings › Apps › Interlocking Tile › Storage › Clear data). You can also edit your details, hide your email and country, or remove your photo inside the app.
If automatic backup is on for your phone, Android may include the app’s data in your Google backup. That is controlled by your device and Google settings.
Input is filtered and checked before it is stored, and data is kept in the app’s private storage. Ranking certificates carry a signed code that shows if the printed details were edited. This detects changes; it cannot stop someone copying a picture.
The game collects nothing on any server, so it does not collect children’s data. Parents should supervise any name, email or photo a child enters.
If this policy changes, the new version will be shown in the app. Questions or requests: open an issue on this project’s Issues page.
